About Us

Who We Are

Cathy Ochs is a nationally certified physician assistant who has worked in family medicine for 35 years. Transitioning to integrative medicine ten years ago, she includes natural solutions to improve the health of her family, patients, and herself.

Founder of Redding Integrative Medicine, a professional PA corporation medical office providing an integrative medicine alternative to residents of Northern California. She is author of the book The Integrative Medicine Solution and co-author of The Secret Weight Loss Scrolls. She is founder of the Integrative Medicine Physician Assistant Association (IMPAA).

Cathy and her partner enjoy loading up their dogs and taking off in their small motorhome wandering the mountains in search of great kayaking lakes, hiking, and bicycling trails.

Where We're From

Cathy Ochs grew up in Colorado and attended undergraduate school at Colorado State University. She completed her physician assistant training in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

She moved to Northern California for her first PA position in 1980 with the plan to return home to Colorado after a few years of practice. The beauty and diversity of the mountains, lakes, and rivers changed that. Now, 35 years later, she has retired from daily practice and lives in Estes Park, Colorado.

What We Do

Cathy’s Redding Office was centered around an integrative medicine program which focuses on identifying the root cause(s) of health problems in order to restore and maintain an optimal state of health and well-being. She is guided by the basic integrative medicine principles: the body knows best how to heal, and the role of the healthcare practitioner is to partner with the patient to identify what the body needs in order to heal while removing barriers that prevent healing. She uses natural supplements first, and prescription drugs to treat symptoms only as long as necessary.

After years of frustration watching the healthcare system become a symptom based, drug centered disease-care system, she committed herself to fixing the broken system.

Her passion is training other PAs and healthcare providers how to provide integrative medicine, focusing on treating the root cause of health problems utilizing natural solutions. Cathy has translated her in-person seminars in valuable online courses which you can find at IntegrativeMedCME.com. As always, the Integrative Medicine program really does heal your patients and you practice, as well as provide you with 14 AAPA approved Category I CME.

She founded the first Integrative Medicine Physician Assistant Association (IMPAA) in California as the platform to reach other PAs and has since broadened the scope of the IMPAA to include the entire nation. Her vision is to create integrative medicine PA associations in each state which will support the foundation’s goal of making integrative medicine a national PA specialty certification. She invites all PAs to learn how integrative medicine is a better way to care for patients.

Her educational corporation, Integrative Medicine Solutions, provides integrative medicine training, webinars, and continuing medical education for PAs, nurse practitioners, and physicians to learn how to successfully operate their own integrative medicine office.
